The Republic Golf Club - The Republic Burger

I don't quite know what number this burger ranks in my opinion, but I am totally sure that it's in my Top 10 in San Antonio. This masterpiece of Americana is served at The Republic Golf Club on the South East side of San Antonio. The course is wide and alot of fun but in kitchen is really where the magic happens. I have quite a connection with this burger though. I actually worked at this golf club for five years during my late teens and early twentys. I ate this burger damn near everyday. Chris Jimenez has been the Food and Bev Manager since the course opened ten years ago and he has sculpted a tower of taste that seemingly gets better every time I eat it. I get it a little more dressed than most people do but the true taste really comes from the all beef patty and the sweet and sour and buttery bun. Truly a great balance. If you feel up to it, put it over the top with cheese, thick sliced bacon and grilled onions and add a refreshing chill with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. If you are on the South East side of San Antonio, get in there and try this thing. Dont forget to upgrade to the seasoned fries too, you wont be let down!
