OVERNIGHT - The Boondock Saint Story

Just finished watching this documentary on the rise and stumble of Troy Duffy, the bartender-come-filmmaker who was swept up by Miramax's Harvey Weinstein to turn his script for The Boondock Saints into a feature film. It's basically a rags to riches story of the Boston twenty something that struck a dream movie deal to direct the $15 million project from his own script. It gained all kinds of attention and then Miramax pulled out. The film shows Duffy alienating friends and burning valuable bridges in the film industry when his ego and arrogance takes over. Overnight is a movie about how one director ultimately ruins a promising career that could have been from an overnight success.
