Hyper-realism #1 - Diego Gravinese

This is my first of a 5 part series called Hyper-realism. My focus is to show you some of the best photorealstic, or hyperrealism painters in the world. Hyperrealism is considered an advancement form of photorealism with methods used to create paintings that resemble a high resolution photo. The term is primarily applied an independent art movement in United States and Europe that has developed primarily since early 2000s. The first profile is of Argentinian-painter Diego Gravinese. He creates hyperreal oil on canvas and acrylic paintings. At first thought, you would think these were a series of photographs. The works are highly detailed, capturing both mundane and bizarre scenes in photo realistic style. Some of these actually date back all the way to 1992. Check 'em out. Pretty eerie, eh?
